How to disable reflection​s in Inventor Drawing shaded views

You want to disable reflections in drawing shaded views for screen printing drawings etc.

Run REGEDIT from the CMD prompt, and create a key as below:-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\Regi​stryVersion16.0\Applets\DrawingLayout\Preferences\​]



Create a key with this value:



"Suppress Specular Color"=dword:00000001


If the key is not present or its value is zero or less, then reflections are enabled under drawings (Default behavior).


Remember to re-start Inventor for this change to take place.

Publisher Word add-in does not work after installing SP1

Some customers reported that after installation of SP1 for Inventor Publisher 2012, the Publisher Word add-in does not work anymore. The Autodesk development team is addressing currently this issue. There is a temporary solution at this time.

You can apply this manual fix:



1. Uninstall the Inventor Publisher 2012 Word add-in from Control pannel (Only the Word add-in).

2. From the Publisher 2012 install media browse to \x64/x86\Inventor Publisher\ProgFiles\Autodesk\Inventor Publisher 2012

3. Look for the file Autodesk.Catalyst.Novastar.PlugIns.WordAddin.vsto

4. Double click and Run this application

How to move a window from a disconnected 2nd screen
